“Thoughts and Pots” is a log of my brave adventures and mishaps in my kitchen.
Cooking has helped me express my thoughts, reflections, satisfy my curiosity and teach my kids along the way few things about food and good eating habits. As it always goes in India, my mother decided that it was time for me to start dabbling in the kitchen after my graduation as it would help take care of my future family. It started with some simple ventures under my mother’s watchful eye, and my dad would always (and quickly !) figure out that it was prepared by me. I was proud of the fact that my dad could contradistinguish my superior skills until my sister broke my reverie my declaring that the food had been nearly inedible. Thus I started my culinary journey with a stumble. But I must say that I’ve since come a long way from rolling Amoeba shaped Chapatis to cooking piquant delicacies. Oh well, my family survived and is still healthy, and that is what I care about.
I came across the saying “If you cannot find happiness along the road, ‘you will not find it at the end of the road.” If we make a little effort, we can find many everyday mundane things amusing. This blog is also a place where I share these everyday experiences with you, and hope to bring a smile on your face.
